hi -- i am the daughter of Capt. Raymond David Stetser Jr. (deceased 12/11/73) He was flying an OV-10 with 1/Lt. John Crowell in the vicinity of cubi point -- both ejected but only Mr. Crowell survived -- I would like to find him and/or learn any info about my dad -- anyone willing to help, please email me at kendrastetser@yahoo.com thanks & best regards--
I got this from the VMO-6 Command Chronology:
"On 11 December, at approximately 1000, an OV-10A from VMO-6, Bureau number 155453, Modex 04, crashed in the Wild Horse Creek CAS Range near Cubi Point in the Republic of the Philippines. Although the co-pilot, 1stLt John S. CROWELL, ejected prior to impact and received only minor injuries, the pilot, Capt Raymond D. STETSER, was fatally injured when he initiated ejection outside of the seat's safe envelope. The following day, the Aircraft Investigation Board and JAG Investigating Officer flew to Cubi Point to commence an investigation. At the time of the accident, Capt STETSER, a Vietnam veteran with over 2200 hours flight time, was on a TAC(A) flight in support of VMA-211."

There may be someone here that was with VMO-6 at that time and knows more.
