I have recieved 4 CD's from the Marine Corps Historical Center that has all of the VMO-6 after action reports and the monthly operational records. The dates are September 1965 through December 1976.
If anyone needs some information, send me a email and I'll see what I can find.

VMO-6 Command Chronologies CDs
On 18 may 1967 I was co-pilot w/Capt Steve Pless flying gunship support for the vertical envelopment element of the SLF on Operation Hickory/Beaucharger. I was headshot and evacuated back to the 'float'. I've never read the after action report or any unit diary about that action.. .can you help?

Alternate source of info
I was able to find records at Texas Tech Univ site also. And they are free to search online. Here is the link http://www.vietnam.ttu.edu/ . I have been researching some of HML - 167's after action report for an incident on May 29, 1969 and have noted that some of the reports are misfiled.(imagine that!)

Squadron after mission reports on CD's
I ordered the CD's from the Marine Corps Historical Section. They have closed their door's for a couple of months. I will try to post the new address in September.
Quote from the USMC Historical Center's web site.
Historical Center Closes Doors 1 July 2005
The Marine Corps Historical Center on the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, D.C., will close its doors to researchers and the public on 1 July 2005 in preparation for the Historical Division's relocation to Quantico, Virginia. The Division will take occupancy of its new facility on Marine Corps Base Quantico in early September and will reopen to researchers at that location as soon as is practicable. Please continue to check the Web site for information and news.
