Hello. I am writing on behalf of my father, Dennis Wood, who was part of the VMO-3 squadron from 1967 to 1969. Next month will mark his 60th birthday, and as a gift, I am planning a sort of "scrapbook" of his life--comprised of photos and memories from those who have known him throughout his life.
I was able to track down a few photos and friends through this and other Websites. But wanted to post a message to see if there was anyone else out there who knew my father and would be willing to share any photos and/or memories of your time with him. Sorry, I didn't notice your note sooner. I have tons of old pics of VMO-3 and HML-367, I don't remember your dad specifically, but if you can send a photo of him from that time, I'll be glad to look through mine and send any I find. I intend to put them up on myspace, but it's slow going. You can contact me either throug this site or at retnugeel7@hotmail.com.
Hope the day was a happy one, my 60th is coming soon. By the way my name is Jim Gunter, I was in the Avionics shop from 11/67 through 7/69 and flew door gunner a bit.
