In late 66 we ordered Sq baseball caps...........I remember they were dark blue with a small cherry on the left side just about the ear, the Screeming Eagle (with strecher & rockets) patch was on the front. For the life of me, I can't remember what was on the left side and the back. Anybody still have one of these caps or does anybody remember what was on the left side & back??

"Cherry Deuces??" or Cherry Deuce? I wasn't in the outfit,but remember words to that effect on the baseball covers worn by the Pilots. Rear may have been VMO-2 with Cherry Deuces on the side.
Hope this helps. I'm just uncovering an old memory that may not be correct, Bart.

I was with VMO-2 from Dec 66 through Jan 68 and I never saw any of the aformentioned covers. Sure would like to get the particulars on them as we may want to make some up for our upcomming get together.

Joe's memory and mine are along the same line Jardo.....the blue was about the color of the edit/reply buttons just below this (maybe a shade lighter). I'm thinking but not sure that cherrys were on both sides with VMO-2 writen in white letters across the back..........Old time hat though,,,no mesh on back half. I see a bunch of names on here that were there at the time, hopefully one of them will still have one or at least still have a memory that works.
