I agree too Doc. I had a dental lie to me last year about a med, and when it was time to go see her again, a new one, I flat out told her bout lying to me about the med., I was to have gotten. Just a few days after, it showed up in the mail. Only 10 months late. I will check again, and may go have the dental completed. If I get aids, guess I'll just get it. I may have them stearalize the instruments in front of me. I would feel better then. Never happen though. I believe it was mid '91 while they had me going to College, I had dental work in Ok. City, and the left rear jaw stayed swollen for almost 8-9 months. I certainly won't go back there. They also insisted I had stomach cancer, and it just had to come out. I'd be in a very bad way right now, had I let them. I believe they were using someone elses record, and that happens a lot. Like I said, I'll try to slack up on them, as I believe they may be helping more people than not. Semper Fi, and READY-APP.

I have met and been treated by some of the very best and most professional people in the Medical field at the VA in Phoenix, I would not trade my PCP for the most highly rated Doctor in the U.S. That being said, I must say in Feb. 2000 I had a botched surgery for a goiter on my thyroid, they told me that I had papillary cancer and they had to take my whole thyroid. (A BIG LIE) for which they wound up paying me a tort claim, and you would not believe the lies told in order to avoid that claim,never the less they lost.coming forward to 2008 my PCP prescribed and submitted a consult for me to have bariactric surgery, this consult was canceled by the chief of surgery,again in 2009 my PCP prescribed and submitted another consult for me to have bariactric surgery as my weight went up to 328 lbs and my BMI to 38, again canceled by the chief of surgery,I was sent to endocrinology because of my blood sugars being far out of line and the Dr. of endocrinology also a diebetic specialists advised she was going to submit a consult for me to have bariactric surgery as I would be dead in 2-3 years and if I had this surgery I would live a normal life for another 15-20 years, I began laughing and she asked me why I was laughing and I told her about the chief of surgery cancelling every consult put in for me, she advised she would put it in language even he could understand, her consult lasted in the computer about one hour and twenty minutes before the chief of surgery cancelled it, she again submitted the same consult and got into an argument with the chief of surgery over my survivability I guess he being the chief I lost again.This surgery will cure 95% of my problems and if I do not get it according to the Doctor of endocrinology I will surely die.This surgery has been approved by my PCP,by the Cardiologists, by the endocrinology dept,by the psychological dept,by the dietitian for the M.O.V.E. program, by my regular dietitian, by the way both dietitians advise that my diet is proper and it is meds and my inability to exercise because of pheripheral neuropathy and osteoarthritis,
absolutely none of this makes a difference with the chief of surgery as he is (guess what) the same chief of surgery in charge when they botched the surgery in 2000 and had to pay me a tort claim.

Carl, I do hope you could get your records by the freedom of info act, from the records Dept., and write a strong letter to the va Director in Washington. This dr needs to be put in his place. He is not God, but sounds like he is acting like it. Its people like that that gives them a bad name when it comes to service for we Vets. That may be all thats needed. The people working under him may not be able to report it, but you can directly to Washington. I'd also call your Senator if he or she is a good one, and give them power of attorney so they can go over your record, and MAKE them do it. If the dr then doesn't do it he could be fired, or funds cut off from the hospital. They surely do not want that, so I bet then you would get your life saving operation. By the way, I would NOT under any circumstances let the dr in question do the operation. You would be dead for sure then. Semper Fi, and READY-APP.

the people under that homicidal Quack could report him but they have no integrity .they put their jobs (money ) over some ones life !!! you guys need to carry recorders and have a witness when you deal with Dr.s or lawyers ! i have been screwed by them just because i disagreed with them and proved them wrong !if you piss em off they will try to teach you a lesson ! (how dare we lowly non PHD holders QUESTION their orders ! how dare we complain or ask for another opinion !) and they will bully the other staff to do it . but you can call for a O I G investigation .some times it helps . . . aslong as you have proof . Thank you Ace for your concern, it seems that no one has the time or interest to do their jobs, I have written to Gen Shinseki the Secretary of the VA, also Dr. Gerald Cross the Undersecretary for Health at the VA. and my Congressman Trent Franks,and my Senator Jon Kyl, I have allowed the power of attorney to my Congressman and to my Senator, I also wrote to Senator Jim Webb assuming that since he was in Nam he might take an interest all to no avail. the Congressman and Senator have form letters they send and the VA answers telling them anything and then they send the form letters to me advising they are very sorry that things did not go well for me but they have done all they can, I visited my Senators local office and when I met the person handling my problem I could understand how the VA can get around our elected officials, there are only certain liasons for elected officials to contact and no one else. If just one person of all I contacted got interested I would have no problem what so ever, I would really like the news media to do a job on them but there only concern is the people in power who dole out money and their bonuses.

Lurch, I have every thing all the records all the lies, the only thing I do not have is someone to hold their feet to the fire and get some straight answers from them.Three consults from my PCP Dr. William White,two consults from Dr. Elena Burger Endocrinologists and Diabetic Specialists,approval from Dr. Simper Cardiologists, approval from Dr. Allison Berger psychologists advising I am an excellant candidate for the surgery, approval of Kim Asaker Clinical Dietitian, and approval of Helen Hatseras Dietitian running the M.O.V.E. program. Six different clinical people who have been taking care of me for years vs. one chief of surgery whom has never met me nor had anything to do with my care.

Carl you have to get face to face with your congressman and try to get a hold of some one like Rush Limbaugh or 60 min .have you tried the Office of the Inspector General for the V A ?

Carl, Lurch, I have said before its been 4 mis diagnosed problems with me, and 2 over looks. I have the records, but like you said, when money is involved, money speaks louder. My Son was susposed to go to college on my gi bill. Yea right. When he started, they took 400 plus a month out of my comp check, the whole time he went. It was free alright. We are alive in spite of them. Period. I wouldn't take my dog to them. They know it too. Hope we can keep finding other Drs that save us while they can, when the va won't. I agree JJ, and Tim. I will pay them a visit today, and either he will slap it out of me, or I him. I will say they will take the blood where I say, or not at all. No more purple, right, inside arms for several months. They know a bunch, but not all of it. The last time I went to this place, it took almost 6 months to get the travel pay. One Lady sent me another pay sheet to fill out, then about 4 days later they found the original one. Finally got it. Have a feeling it will be a messed up day, but will play their game again. JJ, you are correct. When I got there, I was to see a nurse practioner, not my Primary care Dr. I said 'WOA, I am susposed to see a Dr., and not a nurse'. I was told, well thats the way we have it scheduled. I said,'NO, its not. I will see my Dr. as if I wanted to see a nurse, I would have said so 8 months ago'. I did see my Dr., and they did it my way wether they wanted to or not. Had them copy my traver pay voucher, as when they loose it again for a number of months, I'll make a copy of this one, and send them one on to Bonhan, Tx. This is just a little clinic they have all over the country. No pharmacy, and they were only able to get just a little bit of blood from me. I just about got sort of MAD, but didn't. lol. To all of us, we must not let them do to us as they want, but as it should be. They thought I would stand for the switch in the one I was to see, but when they realized I would not stand for it, they did what they were susposed to do in the 1st place. VA just about got a New Place for some of the Medical Primary Doctor and then for Metal Health . Guess they should be set up for service on the 1st of Dec. Hope it helps out a lot. :rolleyes:

JJ it was a lie they gave me last monday. I believe they could have 50 Primary care, and Mental health people, but the orders come from up stairs, and nothing we can do about it. We are gunnie pigs and thats it. I've been in the system 40 years, and nothing has changed. Think how much money, and Vets lives could be saved if the va was privatized. More than I want to count right now. All needs to write this down, all we vietnam Vets will be dead by 2015, the va says. Not me. Hope you don't want it either. Its not far off. Think about it. I could give you more info on Keelser and The VA hospitals in Biloxi but the only thing i go to them for is trying to get something done about my agent orange symptoms but butting my head on that one.

emckinney, I would wait a bit longer if you could, as they are telling us it will take at least 2-3 months to get to all who have applied for S.C. on agent orange. They are going back and reviewing records that have filled claims, and even notifying the relatives of deceased Vets. that have filled for it, to see if they are included in the new Health problems with agent orange. It'll take awhile. Since I am 100% P&T, I didn't bother, as it would open my claims up all over again. I'll leave them alone, if they leave me alone. This is a recent happening, as well over several hundred thousand are being reviewed to include the new added conditions. Hang in there please. If you have filled for heart problems, and several newly added problems, they will get to you soon I would believe. Nothing surprises me what a news paper will print in order to sell a 50 cent paper.
