Does anyone know if the VA is connecting Renal Cell Carcinoma (kidney cancer) to Agent orange exposure? There's nothing in the official literature that I can find.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Re: Renal Cell Carcinoma
I'll check with my buddy Dave today Hippie he was the state VA Rep here for 30 years.
Re: Renal Cell Carcinoma
Dave doesn't know of any kidney related cancers on the books as of now, but said you should file a claim anyway. He said if it is the result of lung cancer spread to the kidney it would be. Never hurts to file a claim, so if it is picked up down the line you'll get picked up (compensated) back to when you filed the claim.
Re: Renal Cell Carcinoma
Kreig,
I referred your question to Richard Moller who work for and retired from the Veterans Administration and his reply is below. It's a little late in coming but hopefully it will be of some help.

HE SHOULD APPLY. iF IT IS NOT ON THE va LIST IT MAY COME UP LATER AND THEN HIS DATE OF CLAIM WOULD BE THE DATE HE APPLY FOR. WHEN IN DOUGHT ALWAYS FILE A CLAIM WITH THE VA. HE CAN APPLY THROUGH THE VA 800 NUMBER OR FILE ON LINE.
Re: Renal Cell Carcinoma
Hip,
Check out this website. It seems there was a case for it:

Also, I just retired from Renal Associates, PA in San Antonio, TX last year. I worked in the medical field for a long time, with the VA, Army, and civilian. It really depends on the doctors. Make sure you document everything as much as possible, make sure the doctor puts it in the records, and get a doctor who thinks it is related and will document it in your medical records as such. Always keep copies of everything and keep at it until you get an answer, all the best good buddy.
