No, the subject does not refer to most valuable player.
I received notice from the VA today. They want me to participate in a study, Million Veteran Program, aka MVP.
Has anyone else received such notice, and if so what are your thoughts?
The initial questionaire is rather detailed. From my point of view it is riddled with mistakes. For example, when looking for genetic connections the form asks if I am adopted. Good question, sir. The answer is no.
However, when they delve into my child's medical history the adoption question is silent. Our daughter came to us by adoption. That is very relevant.
Other questions are very subjective. Is my health good? Well it is not as good as it was when I was much younger. Is it truly worse, a factor of age, or am I making it up? I do indeed have stage two cancer and a few other complaints. Well, others my age have issues too!
I saved the big question for last. Why am I asked to participate? Is it for my benefit and the benefit of other veterans? Or, is the study trying to disprove links to disabilities that are now considered service connected?
Does anyone have more information or an opinion?
Thanks and SF.
