All HMM-263 Brothers are asking for your thoughts and prayers for Charlie. He was in our squadron around 1969-1970.
He has been cancer free for about two years but this time it has come back with a vengeance. His wife Merlyn and his sister Jane, a registered nurse, are by his side and trying to help make him as comfortable as possible.
Thanks in advance for your help at this time for our Brother and friend.

Re: Charlie Rodenberg
Charlie was a great HAC, one we all had the utmost confidence in. He was a true professional, a good Marine and more importantly, a good man. We're all praying for you Charlie!!!

Re: Charlie Rodenberg
Here's an e-mail from Charlie's wife, Merlyn. The news is not good.
> Mike, please share this information with our friends. Charlie is slipping away so quickly. He is heavily sedated and is no longer responsive. I believe he has one foot in this world and the other in heaven. The Dr. estimates only a few more days. My heart is breaking. Merlyn
Re: Charlie Rodenberg
Gary, thank you for posting Merlyns info of Charlie. I am glad he is not suffering. Jesus has a place for Charlie, and soon before we know it, we too will be with him, and all our loved ones and Brothers. Merlyn is a Gracious Lady and needs all of our Prayers as well, as we pray for Charlie. God Bless this Family. S/F.
Re: Charlie Rodenberg
Marines,
I'm sadden to report that our friend and comrade Charlie has lost his tuff battle and is no longer with us. Please pray for he and his family.
Below is an e-mail that I received today.
S/F Gary
Gentlemen,
I just spoke to Merlyn. Our friend Charlie passed from this life this morning at 4:00 Austin time. There is, of course, a heavy burden of grief that Merlyn is carrying but she is strengthened by her faith and the knowledge that Charlie lived large and well. He did a good job of preparing and protecting his family.
Their son, Michael Keith, is stranded in Chicago by the blizzard and their daughter, Christie, is in Tempe. Merlyn will be making arrangements for services this afternoon and will advise when she knows more.
For Charlie:
May the Lord bless you and keep you.
The Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious unto you;
may the Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace.
Our prayers and thoughts are for Charlie, Merlyn and the entire Rodenberg family.
