I received my Reunion package yesterday and promptly called the hotel for reservations. The person had no knowledge of our reunion under Pop A Smoke nor USMC Combat Helicopter Assoc. Then, we found out that the phone number in our mailing is for a Hilton Hotel a few blocks from our planned one. He gave me the phone number for that Hilton. Upon calling them, after a LOT of searching by the reservation person at the Hotel, she found it under USMC Combat Helicopter Assoc, but said reservations could not be taken until after March 15 and to call them back at that time. Not wanting to give up, I called the toll free number. After much looking, they found it under USMC Combat Helicopter Assoc, and said it would be available after March 15.

Rooms will be available on 3/10 and that has been confirmed. I will copy and paste your message to our coordinator for the Hotel. We have planned on 3/10, I posted here on the NOTAM Board for 3/10 - so it/s 3/10 for reservations. She told me that she would have a link from the Armed Forces Reunions site to the Hilton for reservations, but that link would not be available until 3/10 - and that's tomorrow.

Sorry to say, (the housing) price and subsequent (transportation) cost for the weekend far exceeds my farm (mo) morgage payment (and the hired help to feed the animals, etc).
It sure would be nice to jam with you all..the pp foxes and VMO 2 had the right idea in Ft Worth.
