Old stuff

Wally
Most of my stuff goes to the OBA museum at Meacham Field in FW. But I will bring something none the less. I am not about to believe that I am old enough to be in a museum.
My Mom closed up house and went to a care center, when going through the attic in order to clean up, we found some stuff I sent home from RVN in '70. Is this what you are looking for?

Hard to Find, right!

Wally
I spent 4 days in P'cola and saw you when the awards were handed out. As part of the VMO-2 SLJO crew I plan to find your hidding place and join you.
Christmas of '70 I sent my Mom some X-mas cards from RVN, found them still as sent, never used. They are hand painted on silk with maker on the back. I will donate a couple to your cause, which is?
Next time you talk to JD, mention that there is interest in a group photo op. We are getting on and want get to see all these guys again.

This auction is going to be great! Some hard-charging members have already contacted me with items they will be bringing to Reno for the silent auction.

Looking for more donated items, keep'em coming.

Contact me at webmaster@popasmoke.com

All donors will be recognized on the website after the Reunion.

Still looking for more donors... contact me via e-mail at webmaster@popasmoke.com if you can donate an item for the silent auction in RENO.

Thanks to those who have already contacted me. This is going to be a great fundraiser for the POPASMOKE Scholarship Fund while providing the opportunity for attendees to bid on some very cool items.

Come on Marines!

Silent Auction

Wally,
When I left HMM-164 in Jan '68 I was given a painting by the Maint Dept. The painting is on the backside of a piece of plexiglass and shows Snoopy on the top of his doghouse and the rear end of the doghouse is falling off. Snoopy is saying "Curse you Boeing-Vertol"
This was just after the time that the aft pylons were falling off with disturbingly regularity.
The only problem with this is at the bottom of the picture is my name (A B Colbert)
Idon't know if this suitable or not?
Your call.

Velcro or bust

Joe
Last Oct. at Bronco Fest in FW, we held a flightsuit party. You never saw so much velcro in your life. The waist straps were holding on for dear life. Some just gave-up and came in a cap.
Wally
Try Allyn, he has some stuff that we all can use. If I put one more patch on my helment bag you want be able to see the green.

I'll have some framed patches, and an old UH-1E NATOPS manual. I'll see what else I can dig up.

Wally,
I think I mentioned awhile back that I will bring a Size 42 light jacket (nearly new). It used to fit pretty well, but somehow it seems to have shrunk.

See You in Reno,
John

gasher,

I'm sure your work would be of interest to many, really good stuff. However, given the fact that my tablespace is limited at the reunion, I'm going to have to start accepting only USMC items at this point to reduce the amount of items for the auction. I've already received over 40 items.

Thanks for the offer. Much appreciated.
