πŸ˜‰ To: ALL POPASMOKERS

For all of you who have not read Larry Zok's post "going out in style", yes it's true. Our 16th wreath laying and memorial service at The Wall on 10 November will be our last one. Age. medical issues and the Park Service BS have combined to convince us that it's time to fold our tent. So we would like to make this the most memorable Birthday and Veterans Day celebration yet. Come on down !!!!!

Hootch set up will be at 1900 hrs. on Friday 9 Nov. 2012 at the usual spot, 20th and Constitution. Any help you can give with the set up will be greatly appreciated.

Hootch hours:

Saturday 10 Nov. (The Birthday) Open at 0800 and close about 1500.
Sunday 11 Nov. (Veterans Day) Open at 0800 and close ablout 1500.
Monday 12 Nov. (Observed holiday) No decision yet as to whether or not the hootch will open, but my gut feeling is that it will not. Stay tuned.

Memorial service and wreath laying will be at 1230 hrs. Muster at the tent 1215 hrs.

Birthday Cake cutting and reading of the Commandant's birthday message will be immediately following the ceremony at The Wall.

Last chance guys to be a part of this important POPASMOKE event. If you have never been to The Wall on The Birthday and participated in our celebration of the Marine Corps now is the time. 8th and "I" will have their Color Guard and Bugler there.

Hope to see all of you there.

I'm pretty damned sure that Dale Riley & I are going to make the show. Can't guarantee how much help I'll be. Lifting capacity is severely restricted.
