On May 26 CNN will air a special tribute, "Chopper Down" to the woman and men that lost their life's in the HMM-364 Purple Fox February 7th crash. It is scheduled at 10:30pm EST, 7:30pm PST. It will be re-aired on May 27th at 7:30pm EST, 4:30pm PST. It is dedicated to the crew of Morphine 1-2.

Chopper Down
I just watched it as my wife was able to save it on some type of gadget we have attached to the TV.
Tribute is an accurate description.
On a shot of the Fox logo on the '46 tail, we could see the "Give" at the top and the fox of course. However the bottom was cut off. Is the traditional wording at the bottom of the artwork still there?

Ray, the wording is still there. Before deploying, the HMM-364 metal shop solicited input from Vietnam era Purple Foxes to duplicate the markings from that period. I noticed in the documentary when the complete logo was visible they edited out the"offensive" word with a smudge. The new generation of Foxes still do "give a smudge".

Smudge!
You know.... it really burns my butt when there are smudges on the TV screen.... you can't make War PC. It is time the public wakes up.

Smudges
I noticed the same smudges, and explained them to my bride.....There were more smudges on the patches on the flight suits, too! Four letters, different word, kinda like fudge.....
Great show and a great tribute to a very special and brave crew.:(
