From Andy Andrus:
Ron had called me a few days ago telling me he was in Hawaii and had Lois with him and they were having a great time. He called me this afternoon and told me Lois had passed.
A long ways from home there is always so much more that has to be accomplished . I gathered he would be two more days getting her home and making the things happen that follow the death of a loved one. I have copied him on this email and I suspect he will contact us when he gets home and has time to sort things out. Right now prayers are needed in hie direction.
Please stay in touch with me or Ron when he gets home
God speed Lois.

J D, thank you for sharing Andys notice of Rons Loss. It is very sad this happened. I am glad they were in a Beautiful place enjoying life together. Not one of us know when we will be called by our Creator, as We must live the best we can, while we can. Please keep us informed of Ron getting his Lois home. I hope we all will keep them in our Prayers. Semper Fi, and READY-APP.
A beautiful lady
My sincere condolences to Ron and his family - what a terrible loss. When I first met Ron at the Pensacola reunion of 2002, his eyes sparkled and his whole face smiled as he talked about Lois. "I found me a keeper!" he said.
Ron - my thoughts and prayers are with you and yours - God bless you.

Lois Ann Hatton, 65, passed away Nov. 3, 2010, in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Lois was born July 12, 1945, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Margaret and Russ Hatton. At the age of 18, Lois joined the Navy and worked in Corpus Christi and Alameda, where she met her future husband, Ron. Ron and Lois married on Oct. 7, 1967, and eventually had two sons, Stephen and James, whom they raised in Napa.
Lois spent a great number of years working at Mare Island, managing projects for naval ships such as the USS Enterprise. She retired from government service in 1992. Lois was a humble, loving mother and wife who devoted all of her energy to her children and grandchildren.
Lois was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1998, and stoically fought for 12 years without a single complaint. She was a kind and loving woman who quietly touched all whom she met, and will be sorely missed.
Lois was predeceased by her parents, Russ and Margaret. Survivors include her husband, Ron Hatton; sons, Stephen (Karin) Hatton of Napa and James (Naty) Hatton of Guapiles, Costa Rica; grandchildren, Abigail, Nathaniel, Thomas, Daniel and Larissa; and brothers, Larry, Russ, and Neil Johnson.
