In the retired newsletter which I recieved last week, I noted that Gysgt G.V.Glen was listed as passed awayin Nov 2007. G.V. was quite a marine. He was one hell of a Ch-53 mechanic also. He was in HMM-165 after Clyde Nelson was killed in the July 72 Quang Tri strike. I last saw him in Pensacola in 98.

Also noted that MSGT William (Red) Ebert also passed away in Nov 2007.
He was in HMM 365 during 64-65 when we were in Vietnam. He was also in Pensacola in 98.

Both of these marines were worthy of memorializing and I'm sorry no one had noticed that they had passed away. I guess not all families know to let pop-a-smoke know of these things.
They certainly have my salute and godspeed on their last flight.

The Chief

I worked with Gunny Glenn when he was in HML-367, At that time, he was a SSgt. I was a 20 year old Cpl. and admired him very much. May he rest in peace.
