Attn: Klondikers.

Tony Rothshild, VMO-6 squadron pilot in RVN 67-68, passed away this past Saturday in Gaineville Ga.

He was admitted to the hospital (6/14/2009) after complaining of shortness of breath. He was almost immediately placed on the respirator and never came off. The following week was a waiting game, but it soon became apparent that he would not recover. The family, after talking to physicians and clergy decided to remove support to see if they could see him one last time. His family and friends were there for support. The ventilator and sedation were removed at 2:00 PM (6/20/2009) and he passed thirty minutes later. The short story is the doctors confirmed that he had acute myeloid leukemia, complicated by pneumonia.

I have been truly blessed to know this man and his many friends and to be called his friend. This is the probably the highest honor we can achieve. I want to personally thank all of you who were a part of his life.
