After a long battle with cancer Tom "Marty" Martindale's wife Patti died at home Saturday 11/1/2003. The following is the email from Tom.

At 7:30 pm yesterday Patti finally found peace and pain free rest. She was
surrounded by loved ones and simply stopped breathing and slipped quietly
into the arms of her God.
I miss her profoundly.
We will be having a memorial service Wednesday at the First Baptist Church
of Ft Gibson. Time is not set yet. I'll advise asap.
If you're planning on sending flowers please make it a living plant or
merely donate a small something to the Breast Cancer Research Center,
American Cancer Society.
I want to thank, from the very fiber of my being, all of you for your
support during the past 6 years as I struggled with Patti's pain. I know you
will be with me now as I, and all of you, try and fill this huge hole we
have in our hearts.
She valued courage and honor and by her actions showed me how to have both.
God help me, I miss her so.
