Sadly missed

I always looked forward to seeing Ron at the reunions. Sometimes we would talk for hours and then just stare into the sun set. Nothing more needed to be said. We both just knew.
He sent me a rock from his front yard with a button from his uniform glued to it. It always sat on my desk but now I will hold it every day for a little while.
God Bless

Ron's funeral

Al Barbour, Al Mumford, Bob Keefe, Clutch Henry, Chris Bradley, and me attended Ron's funeral Friday. Both Al's gave very good comments. Then a nice sermon by Ron's brother-in-law. They played the Marine Corps Hymm. Then he was buried in Clinton, SC., with Marine Color Guard, taps, etc. SF, Ron.
