His oldest son, Ron, was recently Honorably Discharged from the Marine Corps with a tour of duty in Iraq.
Brownie will be buried in young Ron's dress blues, with a shiney, new set of Combat Aircrew Wings.
Brownie's wife, Helen, and his family and friends, kept a bedside vigil for five days.
He passed in his sleep at approximately 0300, this morning.
He had fought a tough fight with cancer, and insisted on making the Popasmoke Reunion, in DFW, even if it was in a wheel chair, but that all changed when admitted to the hospital last Thursday.
We'll miss him more than words can express.
Semper Fi, Brownie !
