I didn't know this Marine, but thought it fitting to post, he was from my hometown.

Charlie, thank you for the post. I am Eddie's son, Mark. He loved the Corps and we'll be displaying his dress blues, photo and medals along side his casket. I'm gonna miss him. I have lots of photo's that show him in the Corps but, I never heard any of the stories or knew where he went and what all he did.
Dad had a brain tumor removed back around 1983. He was good until the early 90's then progressively got worse over the years. He is resting comfortably in the arms of the Lord for he was a born again Christian. He is with his dad who was also a Marine.
Thank you and everyone for all you did and continue to do.

Jerry, my mom remembers you. She tried looking for you on Facebook.

Any stories or photo's would be wonderful. My email is markearls@frontier.com

Mark it was great to see your reply and yes Your Dad did love his time spent as a marine. It was not always easy and that was right from the start. I haven't got a lot of pictures ,but I would love to talk with you about some of the times we had togather . Kim was just a baby just before Ed and I was sent to New River North Carolina...Hmm 264. spent 20month and 6mos we had a Carib depolyment, aboad LPH-7 1968-2. Some real stories come from that trip.
My prayers are with you and ALL the Family. Was wishing I could of been there. God Bless and Keep you. jerry
Tell Your Mom I have an facebook but I just don't uses it ,forgot my past word LOL. I'll E you !
