Condolences

Sorry to hear the news about Maj Jessie Greer. We flew in HMM-361 out of Marble in the first half of '67, even got shot down together just north of Hill 55. The last I heard from him, he had been elected mayor of Starkville, MS a number of years ago. I think all who were in '361 at the time will remember him well. I know that he attended at least one of our reunions, probably more. My best to his family in this difficult time.

My name is Jay Greer; Jesse was my Grandfather. He has told me many stories but you and he being shot down together is one I have not heard before. Would you mind telling me a bit about it? My family and I appriciate your thoughts and prayers during those hard times. My Grandmother, Pat, is doing very well by the way. Also, I looked through some of the pictures on the site here and the most I could find in regards to Jesse were of a squadron photo. Do you or anyone else have some other photos of him in country?

I served with your grandfather in Vietnam in 1966-67 with Hmm-361. I have the HMM-361 Cruise book on CD. It is similar to a school yearbook and has info on our time there and photos of your grandfather. If you will e-mail your snail mail address I'll send a copy to you. You can get my e-mail address from my profile.
I remember your grandfather as one of the"good guys" from Tweed's Tigers and was sorry to hear of his passing.
