Marines,

I regret to inform you that one of our own, LtCol Jeff "Hap" Arnold has
passed away. Hap was a mainstay of the OV-10 and F/A-18 community and
touched all that he served with. He was highly regarded and well-known
throughout the Marine Corps, I'm sure that many of you know him. He was
involved in a mishap in his private aircraft in Chesapeake, VA while serving
on the JFCOM Staff.

He is from the local area, his parents reside in Orange Beach, AL. His
remains will arrive here Monday afternoon with the MATSG-21 HQs rendering
full honors.

If you are in the local area, I encourage you to come pay your respects to
this fallen Marine at the viewing and/or funeral service. As I know today,
the arrangements are as follows:

* Viewing scheduled from 1000 - 1200, Wednesday 10 Oct at NASP Chapel
* Funeral to follow directly after the viewing at Barrancas Cemetery
