In the current Semper Fi is LtCol Dock H. Pegues (retired 1972) . Dock was my classmate in the 1944 NAP Class & the last one besides myself . I talked to him often on the phone which we both enjoyed. I posted some time back about a funny story he told me. He recieved TAD Orders to Norfolk VA with an OE A/C. He was surprised to find a Carrier Skipper , known as "The Crazy Frenchman" had him flying the OE on his Carrier while cruising full speed ahead He discribed how when taking off the Carrier was moving out from under him. On landing he had to maintain forward speed to stay on the Carrier. It sounded like a goofy but fun exercise Surely miss him and all the others I flew with back in1944 God Speed old Friend Gy Moore
