It is with great sadness that I have to report that 1st Lt. Larry Lentz has returned to base.
I received word today that Larry passed on Friday, 7 pm. 1-13-06 in the V/A hospital in Albuquerque, NM. Although he began his Marine Corps career flying H-34's with HMM-263 at Marble Mountian he retired as a CWO-5 in the NM National Guard.
There will be a viewing at the Berardinelli Funeral Home in Santa Fe, NM. on Thur. 1-19-06 and a rosary at 7 pm. The mass and burial will be on Friday 1-20-06.
Dick Polhemus and wife Barbara, Jim and Ann Shanahan and many others visited with Larry while he was at the hospitial.

Larry Lentz
I'm saddened to hear of Larry's passing...we trained at NAS Pensacola at the same time, and took our final cross-country check ride together, a one week trip at 500 ft. agl aginst the prevailing 'westies', to Denver and back. He was a 'good stick', and a great guy...rest in peace Marine. God bless, and...
