GnySgt. Ronald A. Knight USMC Retired, born June 15, 1934, died Friday, Jan. 6, 2007. He was a native of Duluth, MN and a resident of Robertsdale, AL. Knight served in Viet Nam two times, one of which was with the famed Purple Fox Squadron. He received a number of decorations, medals and awards during his time of service to his country.

Survivors include his wife, Winona Clopton Knight of Robertsdale, three daughters, Roberta Michele Mullins of St. Clemente, CA., Kathleen Diane Schriener of Las Vegas, NV and Rhonda Joan Dix of Murrieta, CA; one stepdaughter, Jacqueline Virginia Knowlton of Silverhill, AL, one son, Robert Michael Knight of Henderson, NV; one sister, Joan "Terry" Peart of Green Bay, WI; 13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and many friends.

Funeral services were held Jan. 10, 2006 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Robertsdale with Father William James officiating. Burial was in Silverhill cemetary. Arrangements were by Mack Funeral Home in Robertsdale.
