I am greatly saddened by Emilos' death, what great people he and Liz are and I feel very priveleged to know them. Liz will be in our thoughts and prayers along with the rest of the family.
I will provide updates as soon as I get the information from the family.

Re: Emilo Longo HMM-263

No words to express my feeling on the passing of Emilo Longo.

Fantastic husband, father, Marine and friend. He will be missed by not only his family, his New York City Fire Department family but also his HMM/VMM-263 Marine family.

God Bless Emil.

Re: Emilo Longo HMM263

It broke my heart to read T.C.'s email telling of Emil's passing. He was a friend, a fellow Marine and a Brother Fire Fighter. I'll miss him.

Re: Emilo Longo HMM263

I received this a couple of days ago from Gy/Sgt retired Jim Lynch. He served with Emil during '66-'67 time frame.

"A prayer for Emilo"

Dear Lord: We the men of HMM-263 ask that you look lovingly upon Emilio R. Longo. He is a Marine in every sense of the word. He will smile when he see's Capt Jeff Chesnutt, Ist Lt John Baker, Cpl Phillip R. Vanesse, L/cpl Richard H. Dallas, L/cpl Michael N. Gukich, Pfc James S. Childeres and joins with them to assist in guarding the gates of Heaven. We who are left behind offer our prayers to you for Emilio, and wish that you would show mercy and comfort to his Family letting them know that we will all see him again. We do not know your plan, even your angels know not of it. But knowing you are a loving GOD helps us to believe that thru you all things are possible.
This is our prayer
Amen
