Hostage Sandollar

JD and All
I was one of Ron's P/C's at Marble '69, by gingos he remembered me and we became fast friends. Col. Fix was Chairman of the board of the ov-10 Bronco Assn. at the time and enlisted me to build out the muesum there at Meachem Field. The day has not come that an E-5 will not do a Col. a favor.
One day as we were painting the doors to the Ready Room "as we call it", He was working on the hendges as I painted. He held one up and asked was it ok. It takes an enlisted man to get the gist of this. That will be one of the defining moments of my life "the day a Col. asked me if the brass was shinny enough". Know this, you don't get to be no Col. by being no dummy. He saw by the look on my face and knew what he had said, and proceeded to ask if the rest would surfice. This my friends defines a gentleman in my book.
