"Dick was an integral part of nearly every Marine Corps
Organization in the Metroplex. We have lost a key driving force in many,
many local Marine Corps support projects. His dedication, loyalty, and
love of our Corps has been admired by his fellow citizens, Marine and
civilian. To say he will be missed is an understatement." from Mike McCollum.

Dick may have been a member here, but if not, many will remember him.

Turns out there is a Richard A. Gilson listed, but as inactive. --- I stand corrected ....
Just checked again and found it to be "white" (deceased/passed) .... many thanks
to probably Al Barbour for being on top of the situation.

Dick got his permanent change of duty station orders last Friday, !3 August, 2010.
He is on the way to also guard the Pearly Gates for us.

Some of his accomplishments include being the Commanding Officer of the
Marine Corps Aviation Association, a board member of the Veterans Memorial
Air Park in Fort Worth and a past President of the OV10 Association.

The Memorial Service will be at 10:30 this morning at the St. Laurence Episcopal
Church in Southlake and the interment will at the DFW National Cemetary on
Mountain Creek Lake tomorrow at 10:45 AM.

MAG-41 out of the JRB is doing all the Military Honors as is appropriate.
