I have just been informed of the passing of Capt. Noel "Mike" Hammer, HML-167 and HML-267.

I gave Mike a ride back from Laos in June of 1970. He flashed me the widest smile I had ever seen. ( when we got him into the '53 ) hw was one of my heroes. God rest a good man , superb aviator and a truly outstanding Marine Officer.
