During a recent motor trip through northwest Texas, I attempted arrangements to visit the V-22 assembly plant in Amarillo, TX. Was informed during my telcon with the senior Marine at the plant - "Sorry, no visitors, Active Duty, Official Buiness Only!"

A real great way to promote the Marine Corps newest top secret flying machine.

Respectfully,

Apparently Larry, the only thing TS about the Osprey is all the engine problems their having and not reporting to the public.

Not sure compressor stall was kept a secret. Below link to Dallas News article dated 11 July.

V-22 PROGRAM INVESTIGATES MULTIPLE COMPRESSOR SURGES AND STALLS
July 17, 2006 -- In addition to the compressor stalls that recently caused a V-22 Osprey to make an emergency landing in Iceland, other V-22s last week experienced compressor surges that were imperceptible to pilots at the time and officials are investigating whether all of these problems are related.
