General Officer Announcement
Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel announced today that the President has made the following nomination:
Marine Corps LtGen. Robert E. Schmidle Jr., for appointment to the rank of Lieutenant General as Principal Deputy Director, Cost Assessment and Program Evaluation, Office of the Secretary of Defense. Schmidle is currently serving as the Deputy Commander, Aviation, Headquarters, US Marine Corps.

Tim wasn't he at the reunion bring in one of the Air craft? I took some of the crews picture and seems like He was one of them.

He was there, don't know if he brought a bird or not....He sent me a "certified" American Flag flown over Iraq when he was skipper of VMM-263 with a squadron photo!! With a name like Rock you just gotta get your stars!!! Well deserved, I believe!!

Yes he was there JJ, but I don't think he flew anything in. He has red hair.

Gents,
Rock and his wife were a guest of HMM-263 at the DC reunion where he joined us for Friday night dinner and spent some time at Squadron Hootch. He was at the Reno and Orlando reunion as a member of PAS. Looking forward to seeing him (and you guys also) in San Diego.
