Gentlemen:

I hadn't heard from Tommy O'Toole for a few years and was wondering what had become of him. He was quite a character, brilliant wit and fine man. Since his name is fairly common and there was a thread inquiring if this was the same person, please let me add this information and please let me know if my friend, Tom O'Toole, has truly passed on.

Distinguished Flying Cross, Bronze Star with Combat "V" and 1 Gold Star, the Air Medal with numeral "26", the Navy Achievement Medal, the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal with one Unit Citation with 2 stars, the Navy Unit Commendation Medal with 1 star, the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Palm and 2 Bronze Stars, Vietnamese Staff Service Medal 2nd Class, the Cross of Gallantry with Palm and Frame, Civic Action Medal with Palm and Frame, Vietnam Service Medal with 1 Silver and four Bronze Stars and the Vietnamese Campaign Medal.

10 years as faculty member of National University of San Diego.

As I said, he was quite a man. Is he truly gone?
