On sept. 21st 1967 2nd Bn 4th Marines engaged an nva battalion in a fortified position appox. 1800 meters east of con thien.We fought them all day and I was med-evacted on the last helicopter to come in,right at dark.A book is being written about 2/4 and the battle on 9/21/67 and I have one report of a helicopter being shot down that day.
