I am the son of the late Ned D. Scheetz. He flew fixed wing and helicopters off the U.S.S. Salerno Bay in the Korean War. He went on the become head test pilot fot Hiller Aircraft in Palo Alto Ca. then started his own company Survey Copters with Charles Hench mapping the entire Western US for the USGS. I know very little of his Korea activities bit have some nice slides and photos. If you know of him I'd like more information on what carriers, activities etc. he carried out in the war, THANKS great site, Jeff Scheetz.

Sheetz, pilot Korea

Hi,
I'm the daughter of George Mikkelsen, believe my dad flew with your dad, actually I think our families knew each other as well (in CA). Ask your mom-she should remember George and Dottie. Anything I find out will pass along.

Mona I have tried emailing you. Thank you for the contact. My mom has passed and I haven'y got any response from the rest of my family. I remember the name but I was just a punk kid. It is a small world and thanks to this web site we can remember some of the past, thanks again, jeff
