Gentlemen;
Kudos on an outstanding web site, a friend directed me
to it in hopes of finding other "Leathernecks" who
served with my father.
As a Army NCO I have depleated almost all normal
channels available to me in search of men who served
with my father.
My father served in WWII,CHINA,Korea, and NAM. I have
his "SRB", Orders, letters ,awards, flight logs, Pics,
and so much more memorabelia my mother has just
recently given to me. I feel it would be a waste not to
share this with HIS fellow marines, and be abel to hear
their stories. My father served with VMF-214 in the
south Pacific, and 1st MAW, along with several
Helicopter Squadrons, I know he was stationed at Marble
mountian when it was over run.
Well enough for Now His Name is Manuel "TANK" DeSouza
he retired as a MGYSGT in 1979 with over 30yrs service
in the Corps. His Awards and accomidations make for
very interesting reading. as do his maps and notes.
Any assistance and or recomendations you could provide
would be welcomed.
Respectfully
Msgt.Phillip DeSouza USA(Ret)
