My name is Byron Moore. My father-in-law (Harold Wilson) served in c-1-4 in 68/69. He was in a battle on hill 484 between Feb. 28-March 5,1969. On March 5 a ch-46 was shot down and landed in the middle of a firefight on 484 (LZ Mack). I have found the after action reports from hmm-262. Lt. T.E. Williams was pilot (I think he was later killed May 2 in a collision with a Huey). The other crewmen listed are Makarewicz, Bowman, Sabertinas(sp?), and Drain. I am attaching 2 pictures of the 46 that Harold took. I found your name on the report as part of the flight that day. I was hoping you may have contact with some of the crew and could send them these pictures. I am trying to organize all of Harold's photos and get in touch with as many people as I can that might like to see them. The guys with Harold that day often talk about the helicopter that came down and wondered what became of the crew. Thank you for your time.

Bowman was a crew chief when I was there JJ. I don't know how long after me he was around. Lt. Makarewicz was the co-pilot when they got shot up on 5March69 and he was evac'd - don't know if he came back or when. Lt. Williams did return from the hospital and he was sent out as co-pilot on his first flight after returning. 2May69 also turned out to be his last.
