Hello fellow Marines,

I am an FNG to the organization and I have looked through the members data base and sadly have not been in touch with anyone for a long time.

A couple of Marines I wish to get ahold of seem to have let their memberships laps. One is Tom Brownfield and the other is Byron Ruck.

If someone can let me know how to get in touch with them I would be very appreciative.

Respectfully submitted,

Brook Stevenson

A couple of years ago the Ugly Angels had an address on a Tom Brownfield at 18235 Barbuda Ln. Houston, TX 77058. Not sure it's the same guy but you might give it a try.

Semper Fi,

Tom

Re: locating Tom Brownfield

Thanks all. I will try these and see if they are still good. If it is the correct Tom Brownfield, he went through Pensacola a little behind me and when got into country several months after I was there he was in a crash and got burned. He use to be in touch with my Mother and Father but have not heard from him in years. He also, I believe, use to fly for State Government in Ohio when he came back home.

I hope that Byron's address is correct also. He was my co-pilot on that illfated flight March 1968 and I need to thank him for helping me stay above water and for my life.

Thanks all.

Respectfully

Brook

Still looking for Byron Ruck

I thank everyone that has viewed this thread and the one for Frankie Fato... I have been in contact with Frank and Tom, thanks.

However, I have not been able to find Byron. I did contact the last place that he worked when he retired last year and was told that after he retired he had a son that lived somewhere near/around Seattle, WA and Byron was thought to have moved to that area to be near him.

I have unfortunately made several/many cold calls to Ruck families in that area but have had no luck. If someone lives in the Seattle area, maybe, they can come up with a new lead.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks

I have been in touch with Tom and Frank but am still trying to get in touch with Byron. The old address from the Popasmoke's members is not correct for Byron Ruck..... he retired last year and the school district that he worked for told me that he had left the state of Ohio and was believed to have moved to the state of Washington to be near a/his son. I have cold called several Ruck families in the Seattle area (where his son is suppose to be living) but have had no luck.

Thanks again, even though I have his information.

re: Byron Ruck

I know Byron has let his dues expire a while back and moved from the Midwest to the Northwest but I have good news. I found him today. I spoke with his wife and hope to talk to him later today. She was unaware of the upcoming Reno reunion and coached me to maybe talk him into going. If anyone needs his information let me know and I'll PM it to you or email it.

Brook,

Have you tried "Anywho.com" on the internet? If you have any clues as to their whereabouts and if they have a listed phone number, that's a good site to try. Good luck

re: Byron Ruck

Byron phoned late this afternoon and we had a nice chat. Hope to meet up with him and his wife next month while he is on a road trip in my area. Says he needs to pay his dues so he can come to Reno in July. Thought some of you would like to know of the update.
