Anyone know the whereabouts of J. M. Moriarty? He was CO of VT-2 in '66 and '67, and he was my first instructor there. He also pinned my wings on after I completed Ellyson training in '67. I think he was in one of the VMO squadrons in country flying OV-10's in '68 and/or '69.

Re: Looking for Maj J M Moriarty
Of the numerous Commanders I've worked for or with, as a Marine, as an Army Paratrooper or a DoD Civilian; Lt Col J.M. Moriarty had no equal as far as I'm concerned. In Viet Nam, he was the first VMO-2 Commander I served under. It was Lt Col J.M. Moriarty's second tour in Viet Nam when he served as Commander of VMO-2 from January 1970 to September 1970. It is my understanding that he departed this world in 1994.
