Looking for Jim McGinn

Jim relieved me as CO of HMM 165 in 1975. I read an Obit in PoppaSmoke that he passed away a coupla years ago. Sorry, he was a good Marine.

Lt.Col McGinn passed somewhere around this time Three (3) years ago, the posting is on page two (2) of the obits. It was sent in by his daughter. He was my first pilot as a Crew/Chief in R.V.N. Good Marine, Good Man, Good Pilot!

LtCol McGinn reenlisted me in the RR of the LPH New Orleans circa 1975-1976.
I remember when he missed the ship pulling out from the dock in Subic and while we were steaming away he flew aboard as a pax from the Navy 53 squadron there... *No one suffered any penalites as I remembered for missing movement!
