Hello I am looking for any photos letters are just about anything on my uncle whom I am named after. He died in 1968 in Quang Nam he was in squadron HMM 163. his best friend was Craig Smith whom I have wrote emails to his sister but then I lost my computer. The reason I am looking for all the info I can get his my grandfather died a few years ago and know my grandmother is in a home and my family would like to get more info or even pictures of the days he was in country we have a few but not a lot. I was also told by my grandfather that my uncle had more medals that he had never received. I sure hope someone can help me with all or even some of my request so we can show them to his mom before she passes away. Thanks again for any help Richard Haymes

Richard, Marcia passed away a couple of years ago. As far as locating Huff all I can say is put out the word, maybe someone will know how to contact him. I have contacted you via e-mail. Please let me know if I can help you farther. I will be at the reunion in Ft. Worth and will put out the word there. Charlie

I served with your Uncle and Craig Smith in HMM-163. For starters you were named after a good man, a good crewchief, and a good Marine. I enjoyed being around those 2 guys. Due to one natural disaster and one unnatural one, my pictures are gone. There was a cruisebook, which should have photos of your Uncle in it.
Feel free to send a email note if you wish. As an aside, I have his name, off the wall, with me. Cpl Richard Haymes, his best friend Craig and three other friends of mine will accompany me to the Birthday Ball in HongKong, tomorrow.
