Hi, My name is Kim and I was hoping someone here can help me find some information on CPL. John C. Keiper. I've been wearing his MIA bracelet now for four years and from the first day, I've felt this need to find out more about him. What I do know is that he enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1963 and was sent to Vietnam in 1966. He was assigned to Heavy Maintance Squadron 16, Marine Air Group 16. From some of the things I found on the net, I think he may have been called Chuck. He is from Renovo, PA. Graduated from St. Joseph's High School. Went missing Nov 15, 1966.
Not one day goes by that I don't think of CPL. Keiper. Especially his birthday and the day he went missing. I thank him always for all he has done for this country and for giving the most precious gift of all his life. I've made a promise to never forget him or anyone else that never came home. He is always in my prayers and in my heart.
Please if anyone can help please let me know. I would like to thank all of you also for all you've done for us and that I respect all of you. Thank you for your time.
Kim

MIA band
Hi Kim, my name is Eben Osgood, I'm a Corporal in the Marine Corps, I'm currently a combat instructor at our school of infantry and i teach machineguns, just the past weekend I went to a store here and picked out his name from the group. I've finally snagged a few minutes from work to jump online and hopefully find something about him. Several friends have asked me about it already and I've told them a bit about it and I have received some sarcastic remarks but I always reply that if I'm supposed to wear it until he comes home then I'll keep it on until I die. I've been a huge supporter of POW/MIA since before I joined the Marines, now it's even bigger then before with tattoos in homage to those who've never returned. Someone asked me some time ago why I joined and I still remember the jokes I made when I first came in, but now things are different. "It's not about duty or country, it's about those who have come before me, it's about those who've never come home, and it's for those who serve with me." I have only two men out of my company and 20 out of some other company. We need support, but it is almost suicide to try to get it here as we are swept by machine gun fire and a constant barrage is on us. I have no one on my left and only a few on my right. I will hold.
