Hello -
My name is Bradley and my father was a former gunner during the time period in the subjest line. He is looking for anyone who might remember him or his friends. He has a severe case of CRS (Can't remember sh*t) syndrome. His name is Bruce Mayor and is nickname was "Howdy" because of his uncanny likeness to Howdy Doody! Any information would be great.

was medevaced in Aug. '68 so never had the pleasure, but will pass on info to rest of the '68 group.

I was in HMM161 at Quang Tri from Jan69 to Jan70. What shop did your father work in.

I was in Avionics, but flew guns a lot and hung around the line shack for the next days missions. May '69-May'70

I was in ground support and flew guns as well. I worked for a guy named Sgt Johnson. I use to tow
alot of planes into the hanger for other shops to work on. I also had to be there to wash out the engines when they returned for the days flying and put perservative in them to prevent damage due to the salt.

Rustlick! I haven't thought of that for decades. I could have used your help a little farther up the line at HMM-262 eoliver, nobody ever did my engines except me.
BUT I never let anyone tow mine to the hanger - it would be stripped for parts before you could set the brakes;)

We would put the rustlick in and then have to wash it out before the took off to prevent them
from getting a hot start. That was sop in our squadron you had to have someone available to
put the ricklick in or remove it 24/7. So we slept at the shop alot.
