In restoring Mike Clausen's Ch-46 we are trying to make the aft ramp and door operational. The Helicopter was severly damaged in Iraq and we had the tail section, (forward of the intakes back), replaced with a "D' Model tail section. Unfortunately all of the Hydralics lines were severed, and the work limits what we can do.

We feel that since we have most of the hydralic lines and equipment to raise and lower the door and ramp we could isolate the system to just those parts and operate them with the hand pump. The only problem we have is that the 4.5 & 3.5 Flow Controls were removed and we don't know or haven't found a resource to get them. We could even use ones that were not working if we had several to clean out and repair, but again we can't seem to be able to find them.

Does any one know a contact for these parts?

I am working with Steve at the North Carolina Avaition Museum, to get this historic 46 ready display.

Thanks for any help you can give. You can e-mail me at racing_agent@yahoo.com

Clausen bird

Dennis,
Saw the bird there in January. You guys are doing a WONDERFUL job! Did they ever remove the external hoist? It wasn't part of the deal in 68-69 as you would know and the New River crew that was helping didn't know that. I just thought it should be "as we flew 'em" in 1969, and that would be without the external hoist. See you there in October for the ceremony.
