Can anyone ID whether PICs are of Danang or another port. Time period approx April 72.
I think they were in DaNang in April, 1972....I`m looking for proof that I set foot in VietNam,,,this was during operations Linebacker or Freedomtrain while I was IC2 aboard the USS Richard B Anderson DD 786...if not DaNang, maybe someone at your website could tell me in what port they were taken. I appreciate your help.

Re: Looking for confirmation of what port.
I would say that the first picture on the left is the Hai Van Pass looking north from DaNang. Possibly Red Beach?
Re: Looking for confirmation of what port.
Mr Griffis, I would say the top left pic is that of RED Beach at Chu-Lai, as I was there for some time. They all could be of the Chu-Lai area. Semper Fi, and READY-APP. ACE.
Re: Looking for confirmation of what port.
In response to request
Just wanted to let you know that I appreciate you letting me post those pics of the unknown port in VietNam...got a call from one of your Marine Pilots ( Ron Stewart ) who confirmed they were taken in DaNang, and he sent me to a website (criticalpics.com) where he had found 2 Three minute clips showing the shots in my photos...I`ve been searching daily for over 6 months, took Ron one day!!
You have the heartfelt thanks of one old salt ...SEMPER FI to you and your crew

Re: Looking for confirmation of what port.
Mr. Griffis, glad you found the place. There are a lot of places that look the same after 42 years. It does look like the southeast end of Red Beach, Chu-Lai though. Semper Fi, and READY-APP. ACE.
