I am trying to log onto the website to post a message trying to find Capt. White.

He inserted a recon reactionary team into the DMZ in June ’69. He was flying a 46. He and the other bird (46) were shot down trying to extract us.

That night, when spooky was shooting for us, they hit a bump and shot his co-pilot along with two of our guys (non-fatal). We humped out of there with the dead and wounded for a couple of days

I talked to him several years ago, but lost contact due to a computer crash.

I think his first name is David? I think he said he flew for United after the war and his co-pilot flew for Delta?.

He and his crew lived in a hootch at Quang Tri. We went over there a couple of times for a beer and I took some pics. He said he wanted to see them as all his had been lost.

We tried to get together when he was on a layover at SeaTac but since it was Father’s Day, I couldn’t make it.

Please advise,
Gene Ruppert

Dave White

Dave is a neighbor, fishing buddy and good friend. He is retired in Mission Viejo, CA. In fact I will see him tonight - so I will tell him to get on the website and get back to you.
