I knew your father not in Vietnam but on a med cruise Feb-Aug 1972. He was quite the person, pilot and military officer that the responders before me allude to.
He was also very competitive and ever so proud of the USMC AH-1 COBRA which is how we became fast friends. I was a CH-53 driver on my way up the knowledge chain of capabilities and potential of this "yet to be exploited" USMC item of inventory.
You wanna hear some good stories, come on back.
