I'm building a 1/72 scale model of A CH-53, and I want to detail it as closely as possible, can you tell me what the color of the vietnam era 53's was.
Tried olive drab, doesn't look quite right, your help and information would be greatly appreciated.My Dad flew in CH-46's HMM-262 (Purple Fox), in Vietnam as a door gunner.

HMM-262 was not the Purple Fox squadron, we were Flying Tigers.
