Looking for a member of HMM-264 during 1965-1968 period. Also, need to get picture of HMM-264 Squadron insigna - Black Knights during that period, Am doing research on HMM-264 insignia placed on a venicle I have owned since mid 60's. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Car was originally purchased by HMM-264 member in Alabama and drived to North Texas during his deployment as a chopper pilot (I think). Want to track the insignia and possible get in contact the the original owner. Need your help to complete my mission.

hmm-264

i was assigned to hmm-264 in newriver after my return from vietnam. i served from around sept. 65 until around nov .66. i made the cruise to viagas and other places. it was there that my best pal took a dunk in the sea after the aircraft fell overboard. photos are with popasmoke. i have an original patch and my 'ole mug with the emblem on it. don't know exactly what you want but the emblem is not hard to find.

HMM 264 patch

I was a pre-Viet Nam war member of HMM-264 in fall 1962-early 1964. I have s version of the squadron patch when it was HMR-264. Contact me at rlballantyne@dejazzd.com, and I'll email you a scanned image.

HMM-264 Patch

I was assigned to HMM-264 after I returned stateside from 'Nam. I was with the squadron from Oct 67 to Jan 69. The squadron patch in the Freedom Hill px link on Popasmoke, Squadron Patches is the patch that we were using at that time. Hope this helps.

Paul

I don't know if I can be of much help. I was a L/Cpl in HMM-264 from about October 1967 until I deployed to RVN in about March 1969. There are a couple of squadron insignias for HMM-264. I'm not positive which was the official one for the time frame you are requesting. If you check google.com for HMM264.com (I think that is the right URL) you will find their official page. They may be able to help you there. If I can answer any other questions of be of further help contact me at: jwnich49@comcast.net or Heavy_Haulers_462@hotmail.com
