Joined HMM-263 12/67 upon return to CONUS from 13 month SE Asia tour with HMM-262. When I checked in, there were only two CH-46D's on the Flight Line. First job was to ferry new Phrogs back from the Boeing plant near Philadelphia. My good buddy, Gaylen Gallion (KIA 4/19/69), was one of the Crew Chiefs who ferried Phrogs with me. My jobs were training Crew Chiefs, Aerial Gunnery Instructor and Asst. NATOPS NCO, all at the same time. I would like to hear from anyone who was with HMM-263 during those months, 12/67 to 08/68.

I joined HMM-263 Jan of 68, I stayed with the squadron until we departed overseas to southeast Asia in Jan of 69.
