In the fall of 1966 a Marine Col/lt Col who commanded a helo unit in Vietnam was shot down making the second attempt to rescue some of his men. He was burned over 80% of his body and subsequently died at Bethesda. An old corpsman who took care of him at Bethesda is trying to remember his name and I told him I would see if anyone I knew remembered the incident.
