Does anyone know the whereabouts of, "Ski"? I have tried before thru, "Popasmoke" to locate this guy without success. We served together in HMM-362 from Sept,'67 to Oct, '68 and were best friends. Maj Ed House, the XO, declaired us the squadron boxing champs when he put us in hack, "until your wounds heal"' after a minor altercation over a poker game. My last communication with him was probably in the early '70's. I received a late night phone call from him telling me he was somewhere in Connecticut with a broken leg, and was in a cast. I have heard thru unreliable sources that he became a mercenary helicopter pilot and was operating somewhere in Africa. I would really like to touch base with this old friend if anyone can connect us.

There are four Edward Ostrowski's in CT:
Newington 860-666-6544
E. Hartford 860-569-2597
Sterling 860-230-0576
Shelton 203-929-8906
There are 74 Ed, Edward, Edwin, and Edmond's with listed phones in US. What was his first name, and do you know his MI? Last week we were looking for one of our former pilots, I figured I'd really gotten lucky since there was only one person with the name Ralph L. Ohman listed in the whole US. I called, and the guy who answered said it wasn't him, but his son was a Marine pilot, and had the same name as his, but went by the name Vern which was only part of his middle name. I was able to get his phone number from his dad, and made contact with him in WV. You have to start making some calls, and many times you will not get the person you are looking for, but you get someone who is related, and can get you in touch. Try the four numbers, and let me know how you do.

Thanks for the tip, Allyn. I called all four numbers in CT, and got a 30 year old who said, "I've got a father who lives in California who may be the guy you are looking for." Gave me a town, but didn't have a phone number. Said he didn't have any contact with his Dad. Sounded like my old buddy. I looked up Ed Ostowski in CA and got three hits. One was a former Marine who served in WW2, and was a delight to talk to. However, he indicated that I had just talked to him a few minutes ago. He was puzzled that I was calling him a second time. The third person I called was not puzzled' but was clearly pissed: "you just called here and I told you I am not the guy". Whoever is calling around the country, and using my name, stop it. I don't need your help or interference.
